株式会社東京コミックコンベンション（代表取締役社長：後藤 武彦）は、2025年12月5日（金）～12月7日（日）までの3日間、幕張メッセ（千葉市美浜区）にて開催する「東京コミックコンベンション2025」（以下、「東京コミコン2025」）のステージスケジュールを発表いたしました。

来日セレブ、俳優、声優、歌手…夢のエンタメスターが「東京コミコン2025」に集結！

2016年に初開催され、今年で第9回目の東京開催となる、国内最大級のアメコミ＆映画＆ポップ・カルチャーの祭典「東京コミコン」。今年はジョニー・デップ氏（『パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン』等）を筆頭に、イライジャ・ウッド氏（『ロード・オブ・ザ・リング』等）、クリストファー・ロイド氏（『バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー』等）、ノーマン・リーダス氏（『ウォーキング・デッド』等）、マッツ・ミケルセン氏（『ファンタスティック・ビースト』等）、セバスチャン・スタン氏（『サンダーボルツ＊』等）ら歴代最多となる来日セレブが参加予定となり、会期中は、ステージイベントやサイン会・撮影会を通じてファンと交流を行います！
そして、アンバサダーには山本耕史氏、PR大使／コスプレアンバサダーに伊織もえ氏、メインMCにLiLiCo氏と中丸雄一氏が決定し、「東京コミコン2025」を盛りあげます。

特設リングステージやプレイヤーズジャングルステージでも連日、迫力のライブパフォーマンスやゲームバトルを間近で体感でき、3日間を通して来場者の皆様を飽きさせない、見どころ満載の最強ラインナップとなっています。

【アントニー・スター氏の来日キャンセルにつきまして】

「東京コミコン2025」に参加を予定していたアントニー・スター氏は緊急の撮影が入り、12月5日（金）～7日（日）の来日がキャンセルになりました。
アントニー・スター氏自身、今回のコミコン参加を大変楽しみにしており、東京コミコン側もギリギリまで日程調整を試みましたが、最終的に今回の「東京コミコン2025」の参加は見送ることとなりました。

株式会社東京コミックコンベンション（代表取締役社長：後藤 武彦）は、2025年12月5日（金）～12月7日（日）まで開催する「東京コミックコンベンション2025」（以下、「東京コミコン2025」）の新たなセレブ情報を発表いたしました。

いよいよ開催まであと1か月となった「東京コミコン2025」。会場を盛り上げるステージ情報や出展社・フード情報など、さまざまな発表が控える中、大注目のニュースが飛び込んできました！新たなセレブとして、セバスチャン・スタン氏、マッツ・ミケルセン氏、ピルウ・アスベック氏の来日と浅野忠信氏の参加が決定いたしました！いずれのセレブも会期中全ての日程で来場し、浅野忠信氏は5日（金）と7日（日）に参加、当日は会場において写真撮影会およびサイン会等も予定されています。（※ピルウ氏、浅野氏の撮影会・サイン会のチケットの販売の詳細につきましては後日発表いたします。）また、マッツ・ミケルセン氏の60歳を記念したパーティも実施いたします。

セバスチャン・スタン氏は、若者向けドラマ『ゴシップガール』やファンタジー・ドラマ『ワンス・アポン・ア・タイム』など人気海外ドラマへの出演を経て、マーベル映画『キャプテン・アメリカ／ザ・ファースト・アベンジャー』にて、極秘実験によって最強の兵士へと生まれ変わったバッキー・バーンズ／ウィンター・ソルジャー役に抜てきされ、一躍注目を集めました。その後も『キャプテン・アメリカ』シリーズをはじめとした数々のマーベル・シネマティック・ユニバース（MCU）作品に出演し、マーベル・スタジオ製作のオリジナル・ドラマ『ファルコン＆ウィンター・ソルジャー』では主演を務めました。
2025 年には、若き日のドナルド・トランプ氏を描いた『アプレンティス：ドナルド・トランプの創り方』やMCU の超クセ者ヴィランが集結した大作『サンダーボルツ*』など、話題作が次々と日本で公開され、新進気鋭のスタジオA24が手がけた『顔を捨てた男』では、キャリア初となるゴールデングローブ賞を受賞。
来年には、ロバート・ダウニー・Jr.氏が復帰することでも話題のアベンジャーズ最新劇場作『アベンジャーズ／ドゥームズデイ』の公開が控えるなど、俳優としてさらなる飛躍を遂げています。なお、スタン氏は昨年開催された「東京コミコン」スピンオフ企画「アフタークリスマス」への参加経験はありますが、東京コミコン自体への参加は今回が初めてとなります。

コミコンのセレブ親善大使を務めるダニエル・ローガン氏に次ぐ参加数を誇り、いまや日本のコミコンを語る上では欠かせない、“北欧の至宝”ことマッツ・ミケルセン氏は、2006年に公開された映画『007／カジノ・ロワイヤル』のル・シッフル役で、国際的評価を獲得。ドラマシリーズ『ハンニバル』ではレクター博士役を務め、多くのファンを魅了しました。
以降、『ローグ・ワン／スター・ウォーズ・ストーリー』や『ドクター・ストレンジ』、『ファンタスティック・ビーストとダンブルドアの秘密』など、大型シリーズに相次いで出演し、世界的スターとしての地位を揺るぎないものとしました。また、冷酷な敵ライオン・キロスの声を担当した『ライオン・キング：ムファサ』は日本でも大ヒットを記録し、2024年に公開された洋画実写作品で興行収入No.1の快挙を達成。
その人気と存在感は、今もなお加速し続けています。
現在、マッツ氏は複数の新作が控えており、『Last Meals（原題）』では死刑囚のために料理を作るシェフ役を、『Ami（原題）』では宇宙に取り残された宇宙飛行士役を演じるほか、殺し屋を演じた映画『ポーラー 狙われた暗殺者』の新作『The Black Kaiser（原題）』の公開も予定されています。
幅広い役柄で世界中のファンを魅了し続けるマッツ氏は、11月22日の誕生日でいよいよ＜還暦＞を迎えます。
そこで今回、12月５日（金）の夜、東京コミコン会場近くのTKP東京ベイ幕張ホールにて、マッツ・ミケルセン氏のアニバーサリーをお祝いする特別パーティ（開場18：30／開演19：00／終演21：00予定）の開催が決定しました！
これまで日本のコミコンを幾度となく盛り上げてきたマッツ氏の記念すべきアニバーサリーイヤーを、コミコンは全力で盛り上げます。

「東京コミコン」初参加となるピルウ・アスベック氏は、マッツ氏と同じデンマーク出身の俳優。ミステリードラマ『THE KILLING/キリング』や『コペンハーゲン／首相の決断』など、故郷デンマークの作品に多数出演しているほか、日本でも人気の海外ドラマ『ゲーム・オブ・スローンズ』では、鉄諸島を支配する冷酷な海賊ユーロン・グレイジョイを演じ話題となりました。ドラマだけでなく映画界でも活躍しており、日本のSF漫画「攻殻機動隊」が原作のスカーレット・ヨハンソン氏主演作『ゴースト・イン・ザ・シェル』やDC映画『アクアマン／失われた王国』への出演、『ザ・スーパーマリオブラザーズ・ムービー』のデンマーク版ではマリオの声を務めるなど、幅広いジャンルの作品でその才能を発揮。
2011年にはベルリン国際映画祭でシューティング・スター賞を受賞しています。

1988年、中学3年生のときにドラマ『3年B組金八先生』のオーディションに合格し俳優としてのキャリアを開始した浅野忠信氏は、その後も国内作品で着実にキャリアを重ね、1990年に『バタアシ金魚』で銀幕デビュー。1990年代後半からは活動の場を海外にも広げ、マーベル・シネマティック・ユニバース映画『マイティ・ソー』シリーズや、第3弾の製作も決定している『モータルコンバット』シリーズ（来年公開の第2弾では今回のコミコンのゲストであるカール・アーバン氏と共演）など、ハリウッド作品に多数出演。
2021年公開の映画『MINAMATA-ミナマタ-』では、同じくコミコンに参加するジョニー・デップ氏と共演しています。
浅野氏の演技は国内外から高い評価を受けており、2010年には第33回日本アカデミー賞優秀主演男優賞を受賞。さらに、近年では真田広之氏主演／プロデュースのドラマ『SHOGUN 将軍』での演技により、第76回エミー賞助演男優賞にノミネート、第82回ゴールデングローブ賞テレビドラマ部門助演男優賞では日本人として初受賞を果たしました。受賞スピーチでは「たぶん、私のことをご存じないでしょう。日本の俳優です。浅野忠信と申します。ワオ！」とユーモアを交えて喜びを表現し、大きな話題となりました。
2019年に「東京コミコン」の“アンバサダー”としてイベントを盛り上げた浅野氏ですが、今回はセレブとしての参加となります。

「大阪コミコン」から誕生した新エリア「プレイヤーズジャングル」詳細が解禁！

今年5月に開催された「大阪コミコン2025」で初登場し、来日セレブのダニエル・ローガン氏やエドワード・ファーロング氏のゲリラ参加でも大きな話題を呼んだ新エリア「プレイヤーズジャングル」が、「東京コミコン2025」にも満を持して登場！
前回をはるかに超えるスケールと充実のコンテンツで、“プレイヤーの五感を刺激する体験型エンターテインメントエリア”としてさらなる進化を遂げます。“リアル会場ならではの、体験型の遊びに満ちたエリア”をコンセプトとした同エリアでは、ゲームを中心に、最新タイトルの試遊やステージイベント、ミート＆グリート、限定グッズの販売など、多彩な体験コンテンツが集結。熱気あふれる空間で、来場者が思いきり「遊べる・繋がれる・熱狂できる」体験をお届けします。
今回は、その中でも特に注目の企画をピックアップしてご紹介します！

「東京コミコン2025」のプレイヤーズジャングル内では、コミコンを代表する人気エリア「アーティストアレイ」に出展する著名アーティストたちを紹介する特別ステージをはじめ、大人気対戦型ゲーム「MARVEL RIVALS」の公開マッチアップや、人気声優・悠木碧氏とフリーアナウンサーの松澤ネキ氏によるYouTube番組「ゆうきとねきのすきにやるTV」の公開収録など、見逃せない注目プログラムが目白押し！
さらに、YouTube登録者数の合計が総勢150万人を超える天開司氏、猫宮ひなた氏、朝ノ瑠璃氏、おめがシスターズによるスペシャルライブも開催。ジャンルを超えて集結した豪華メンバーが、プレイヤーズジャングルのステージを熱く盛り上げます！

特別謎解きイベント［KANKEISHA］
コミコン会場で「KANKEISHAパス」を拾った貴方。そのパスを落とし主に届けるために、会場内を探索せよ。これは貴方と「コミコンの舞台裏」を少しだけ交差させる、関係者体験周遊――

“解けないと買えない” というユニークなコンセプトで話題沸騰中の謎解きアパレルブランド「トキキル」と、東京コミコンのコラボがついに実現！今回、「トキキル」完全監修のもと、会場全体を舞台にした壮大な回遊型謎解き企画を実施します。
無事に「KANKEISHAパス」を落とし主へ返却できた方は、“ささやかなお礼”がもらえるかも…？

昨年の「東京コミコン2024」から誕生し、続く「大阪コミコン2025」でも大好評を博した、コミコン主催のダンスステージ。熱気あふれるパフォーマンスと感動を生み出したあのステージが、今年はさらにスケールアップして帰ってきます！最終日である12月7日（日）にメインステージで行われる「TOKYO COMICCON DANCING HERO 〜ダンスで夢を掴め！コミコンドリーム！〜」には、“ダンスで夢を叶えたい”という想いを胸に集った多くの応募者の中から、厳しい審査を勝ち抜いた精鋭チームが登場。東京コミコンのコンセプトに沿った楽曲を使い、1〜3分間の渾身のパフォーマンスを披露します。
夢に挑戦するダンサーたちの姿を見届け、審査をするのは、「ダンシング・ヒーロー」や「六本木純情派」など数々のヒット曲で知られる歌手の荻野目洋子氏と、故マイケル・ジャクソン氏の振付師としても活躍し、日本の人気グループTravis Japanの生みの親としても知られる、振付師・演出家・プロデューサーのトラヴィス・ペイン氏。

Following the recent announcement that Hollywood megastar Johnny Depp will appear at this year’s event, keywords like “Johnny Depp,” “JohnnyDepp,” and “Comic Con” instantly trended on X (formerly Twitter), even reaching the #1 spot.

Now, as anticipation continues to soar, Jack Quaid has officially been confirmed to attend Tokyo Comic Con 2025!
Quaid will appear all three days of the event, participating in photo sessions and autograph sessions with fans.

Born to acclaimed actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, Jack Quaid made his big-screen debut in the blockbuster film The Hunger Games (2012). Since then, he has steadily built his career through various film and TV roles. His major breakthrough came in 2019 when he was cast as Hughie Campbell, the main protagonist of the hit superhero series The Boys, earning him international acclaim.

The 6th Round of Guest Announcements Features a Hollywood Legend and the Iconic Boondock Saints Brothers!

Tokyo Comic Con 2025 already boasts its largest-ever lineup, with 14 celebrity guests announced so far, including Elijah Wood, Christopher Lloyd, and Nicholas Hoult. But the excitement doesn’t stop there!
In response to the growing anticipation of fans, three more world-renowned stars have been confirmed: Johnny Depp, Norman Reedus, and Sean Patrick Flanery!

Johnny Depp will appear at the event on Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7. He will participate in photo sessions and autograph signings, and on Sunday, December 7 at 1:00 PM, he will take the Main Stage for a special talk show.
Meanwhile, Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery will appear on all three event days, also participating in photo and autograph sessions.
(Details regarding ticket sales for photo and autograph sessions will be announced later.)

Encouraged to pursue acting by fellow Hollywood star Nicolas Cage (who attended Osaka Comic Con earlier this year), Johnny Depp began his career with the hit TV series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990), where he rose to fame playing undercover officer Tom Hanson.

After transitioning to film, Depp made a lasting impression with his unforgettable portrayal of the gentle, scissor-handed artificial man Edward in Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands (1990).
Since then, Depp and Burton have collaborated on multiple beloved classics such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with Depp delivering increasingly bold and distinctive performances that defined Burton’s cinematic style.

However, Depp’s global stardom was truly solidified by his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003).
Defying the old Hollywood belief that “pirate films don’t sell,” the movie grossed over $600 million worldwide, and Depp earned an Academy Award® nomination for Best Actor.

This visit marks Depp’s first official trip to Japan in roughly eight and a half years, since promoting Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017).
His long-awaited return to meet Japanese fans will undoubtedly be a once-in-a-lifetime event—and remarkably, Tokyo Comic Con 2025 will be the first Comic Con in the world where Johnny Depp holds both autograph and photo sessions!

Depp’s autograph and photo session tickets will go on sale from 6:00 PM (JST), Monday, October 27, 2025, via Ticket Pia and the HollyCon website.
At Tokyo Comic Con, fans can attend autograph sessions by purchasing “Autograph Tickets” or photo sessions by purchasing “Photo Tickets.”

Norman Reedus is best known for his role as Daryl Dixon in the global phenomenon The Walking Dead, which became a massive hit in Japan as well.
He portrayed Daryl throughout the entire 12-year run of the series, later reprising the role in the spin-off The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (2023), earning renewed acclaim from fans and critics alike.

In 2022, Reedus received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, solidifying his status as a global superstar.
His creative reach continues to expand: in June 2025, he returned as the lead character in the upcoming video game DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH, once again collaborating with Japan’s own visionary creator Hideo Kojima, impressing players with even more lifelike motion capture performance than before.
Reedus is also set to appear in Ballerina: The World of John Wick, a spin-off of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick series, further extending his global influence.

Having even lived in Chiba, Japan in the past, Reedus has a deep personal connection with the country—making his return to meet Japanese fans all the more special.

Sean Patrick Flanery made his breakthrough in 1992 when he was cast as a young Indiana Jones in the acclaimed TV series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
He later appeared in notable films such as the touching fantasy Powder and the horror-thriller Saw 3D: The Final Chapter.

More recently, Flanery has joined the cast of the hit superhero series The Boys—which also stars fellow Tokyo Comic Con 2025 guests Antony Starr and Karl Urban—playing the character Gunpowder.
Throughout his career, he has remained an active and respected figure in Hollywood.

Of course, Flanery is best known for his iconic role in the cult classic The Boondock Saints series, where he co-starred with Norman Reedus as the vigilante MacManus brothers—a pair of morally bonded twins who fight for justice.
The long-awaited third installment of the series was announced last year, reuniting the beloved duo once again and sparking excitement among fans worldwide.

We’re thrilled to announce that Jon Bernthal, Christina Ricci, and Evanna Lynch will all be attending!

Jon Bernthal first rose to international fame playing Shane Walsh, a key character in the hit TV series The Walking Dead.
He went on to deliver a powerful performance as Frank Castle / The Punisher, the dark anti-hero who enforces his own code of justice, in the Marvel series Marvel’s Daredevil. His portrayal—balancing brutality with deep emotion—captivated audiences around the world.
Bernthal later reprised the role in Marvel’s The Punisher, and more recently returned as The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again.
He has also appeared in the action film series The Accountant starring Ben Affleck, and the Emmy-winning series The Bear, earning high acclaim as a versatile and skilled actor.
Looking ahead, Bernthal is set to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Christopher Nolan’s new epic The Odyssey (working title), alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, and Zendaya—cementing his place as one of Hollywood’s most exciting talents.

Starting her career at a young age, Christina Ricci became an icon through her role as the cool, intelligent, and darkly charming Wednesday Addams in the beloved Addams Family films, co-starring Christopher Lloyd.

The fourth wave of guest announcements for Tokyo Comic Con 2025 brings a star who is in high demand across both DC and Marvel franchises!

In 2015, Hoult delivered a powerful and unforgettable performance as Nux, one of the War Boys in Mad Max: Fury Road, capturing audiences with his raw intensity and emotional depth.
Hoult is also widely known for his role as Hank McCoy / Beast in the X-MEN film series, a character beloved by both comic book and movie fans alike. Koji Yamamoto Appointed as Ambassador!

With a star-studded guest lineup already creating huge buzz—including Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Jim Lee, Antony Starr, Karl Urban, and, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Tom Wilson, and Claudia Wells—anticipation for Tokyo Comic Con 2025 is at an all-time high.

Now, adding to the excitement, acclaimed actor Koji Yamamoto has been appointed as the official Ambassador of Tokyo Comic Con 2025!
Yamamoto, known for his wide-ranging performances from musicals to films, made his stage debut in 1987 at just 10 years old as Gavroche in the Japanese premiere of the musical Les Misérables. He later rose to fame with his role in the TV drama Hitotsu Yane no Shita (1993), and has since starred in numerous acclaimed productions including NHK’s historical drama Shinsengumi! (2004), the blockbuster film Shin Ultraman (2022), and most recently, the hit streaming drama Tokyo Swindlers (2024).

During Tokyo Comic Con 2025, Yamamoto will also host autograph and photo sessions, offering fans the chance to meet him in person. In addition, a special comment video from Yamamoto will be released on the official Tokyo Comic Con YouTube channel.

A passionate movie fan, Iori has appeared at past opening ceremonies in cosplay as Hermione from Harry Potter and in a classic bunny outfit, thrilling audiences. At Tokyo Comic Con 2024, she held a special cosplay photo session, drawing huge crowds. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see what stunning cosplay she will reveal at Tokyo Comic Con 2025!

She is also known as the Japanese voice of Eric Cartman in the dubbed version of South Park, and is active as a narrator and actress. In 2020, she was selected as one of only 14 international hosts worldwide for DC Fandome. In 2024, she received both the “HAPPY WOMAN Award” and the “Nagaharu Yodogawa Award.” Beyond her on-screen work, she also designs and produces clothing and jewelry.

This year, after rigorous judging, the Grand Prize was awarded to the dynamic work of ＆OK!.

The Back to the Future Cast Reunites at Tokyo Comic Con!

On the 40th anniversary of the film’s release, Doc, Lorraine, Biff, and Jennifer are coming to Japan!

Following the announcements of Elijah Wood and Sean Astin, as well as Antony Starr and Karl Urban, Tokyo Comic Con 2025 now welcomes another legendary lineup: Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Tom Wilson, and Claudia Wells from Back to the Future!

(All four guests will attend throughout the convention and are scheduled to participate in photo sessions and autograph signings. Fans can also look forward to a special group photo opportunity with the cast in front of the iconic DeLorean! Details regarding photo and autograph ticket sales will be announced at a later date.)

At 87 years old, Christopher Lloyd remains a true legend of cinema, best known for his role as genius scientist “Doc” Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy and Uncle Fester in The Addams Family series. In recent years, he has continued to shine with appearances in the action film Nobody starring Bob Odenkirk, season 3 of The Mandalorian, and the upcoming season 2 of Wednesday. Following his memorable visit at Tokyo Comic Con 2024, his return promises another unforgettable experience for fans.

Lea Thompson, Tom Wilson, and Claudia Wells also brought unforgettable characters to life as Marty’s mother Lorraine McFly, his nemesis Biff Tannen, and his girlfriend Jennifer. Thompson continues to thrive both in front of and behind the camera, directing television dramas in addition to acting. Wilson remains active across multiple mediums, from live-action to voice acting in animation and games. Wells, after stepping away from acting for a time, returned in the 1990s and reprised her role as Jennifer in Back to the Future: The Game (2010), delighting fans worldwide.

Tokyo Comic Con 2025 continues its wave of exciting celebrity announcements with the release of the second round of guest information!

Recently, the ＜First Round＞ of celebrity guests was revealed, featuring Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, and legendary comic artist Jim Lee. Today, we are thrilled to announce two more spectacular guests: Antony Starr and Karl Urban!
Both Starr and Urban will be appearing on all days of the convention, and fans will have the opportunity to participate in photo sessions and autograph signings at the venue.

Antony Starr began his acting career in 1995, working primarily in television series in his home country of New Zealand. In 2019, he skyrocketed to international stardom with his role as Homelander, the main character of the ultra-violent and ruthless superhero drama “The Boys.” In the series, Starr delivers a commanding performance as a complex character—outwardly the perfect superhero, but in reality, a cold and ruthless villain driven by loneliness and an insatiable need for validation. His nuanced portrayal, bringing both menace and humanity to the role, has captivated audiences worldwide. His performance has earned him fervent acclaim, including winning both “Best Actor in a Superhero Series” and “Best Villain in a Series” twice at the Critics’ Choice Super Awards.

Also hailing from New Zealand, Karl Urban has appeared in numerous blockbuster films, including Éomer in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, Skurge in “Thor: Ragnarok,” Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” film series (2009–), and the titular role in “Dredd.” His versatile performances have made him a widely recognized and highly popular actor. In “The Boys,” Urban portrays Billy Butcher, a man consumed by vengeance against Starr’s Homelander. Notably, Urban previously visited Japan for the Tokyo Comic Con in 2017, making this his second appearance at the event and his first return in eight years.

As one of the largest pop culture festivals in Japan, Tokyo Comic Con delivers exciting experiences every year — and will once again return to Makuhari Messe in Chiba this December! With less than six months to go, many fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of our visiting celebrity guests. We’re thrilled to reveal the first lineup for 2025: Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, and legendary comic artist Jim Lee!

Elijah Wood – Profile

Starting his career in childhood, Elijah Wood quickly established himself as a talented young actor with acclaimed performances in films such as Paradise and Forever Young. By the late 1990s, he starred in box-office hits including Deep Impact and The Faculty, winning fervent support as a teen actor.
However, it was The Lord of the Rings trilogy that cemented Wood’s place in cinema history. In the role of Frodo Baggins — the humble hobbit entrusted with the monumental task of destroying the One Ring — he took audiences on an epic and perilous adventure.
His filmography also includes critically acclaimed works such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Sin City. Most recently, Wood has been cast in the remake of the cult classic The Toxic Avenger.
Elijah Wood previously appeared at Tokyo Comic Con 2020 (the 5th Tokyo Comic Con, held online due to the pandemic). Unfortunately, travel restrictions at the time prevented his in-person appearance — making Tokyo Comic Con 2025 his first-ever in-person participation in Japan, and his first Comic Con appearance here in five years!

Sean Astin – Profile

If Frodo is coming to Japan, it’s only fitting that his most trusted traveling companion should join him — Samwise Gamgee himself, Sean Astin!
Astin made his mark early on as the kind-hearted and adventurous Mikey in the 1980s classic The Goonies (produced by Steven Spielberg, written by Chris Columbus). He went on to appear in notable works such as The War of the Roses and Courage Under Fire, proving his versatility across genres.
His defining role came in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, where he portrayed Sam — the steadfast and selfless friend who stands by Frodo as he struggles under the corrupting influence of the Ring. Astin’s heartfelt performance brought Sam to life as one of the most beloved characters in fantasy cinema.
In recent years, Astin has gained renewed attention for his role as Bob Newby in Season 2 of the hit sci-fi drama Stranger Things, where he played the brave and compassionate boyfriend of Joyce (Winona Ryder). His heroic efforts to protect the Byers family won over a whole new generation of fans.

DC Comics Icon Jim Lee to Appear at Tokyo Comic Con!

We are also honored to welcome legendary comic creator Jim Lee to this year’s Artist Alley — a beloved area of the convention where comic book artists, illustrators, and animators from around the world sell their work and connect directly with fans.
Jim Lee is one of the most celebrated artists, writers, editors, and publishers in the global comics industry. He currently serves as Publisher, President, and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics.

Widely recognized as a legend in comic book history, Lee has received numerous accolades, including the Harvey Award, Inkpot Award, and Wizard Fan Award. In 2024, he was inducted into the prestigious Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame, the industry’s highest honor.
Since joining DC Comics in 1998, Lee has overseen many iconic projects, including the “DC Rebirth” initiative and The New 52, in which he redesigned the costumes of legendary heroes such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, bringing a modern aesthetic to the DC Universe.
Earlier in his career at Marvel Comics, Lee’s work on X-Men set the all-time sales record for a single-issue comic — a record that still stands today.

Visitors planning to attend for two or more days are encouraged to purchase the 3-Day Pass for maximum value, while Advance 1-Day Passes offer significant savings compared to on-site pricing.

Cosplay Participation Certificate & Early Changing Room Access
The Cosplay Participation Certificate is required for attendees who plan to cosplay at Tokyo Comic Con 2025 and wish to use the on-site changing rooms and cloakroom. This certificate ensures smooth access to facilities during the event.

Holders of the Early Changing Room Access Ticket can enter the changing rooms and cloakroom from 9:00 AM on Friday, December 5, and from 8:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7. This allows cosplayers to be among the first to welcome attendees in costume as they arrive at the venue entrance.

Please note that cloakroom use (for an additional fee) is also available to those without a Cosplay Participation Certificate. The cloakroom is ideal for storing large purchases, fragile items, or other belongings securely during the event.

From Osaka Comic Con to Tokyo Comic Con 2025 – The Excitement Continues!

Just about a month after the unforgettable Osaka Comic Con 2025, preparations for Tokyo Comic Con 2025 are already underway!
Since its first edition in 2016, Tokyo Comic Con has been delivering thrilling, heart-stirring experiences as one of Japan’s premier pop culture festivals — featuring opportunities to meet world-famous celebrities and renowned artists, displays of props used in blockbuster films, and a vibrant space for cosplayer interaction.
At Tokyo Comic Con 2024, held in December last year, we welcomed 13 celebrity guests including Jason Momoa, Morena Baccarin, Ben McKenzie, Christopher Lloyd, Jude Law, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ansel Elgort, and Tomohisa Yamashita. Later that same month, the special event Tokyo Comic Con 2024 After Christmas featuring Sebastian Stan brought fans an even more star-packed experience than usual.
Most recently, Osaka Comic Con 2025 brought together Sung Kang, Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy, Emily Rudd, Daniel Logan, Christina Ricci, Edward Furlong, Nicolas Cage, Bill Skarsgård, and Mackenyu for three days of excitement — culminating in a grand finale that left fans deeply moved.

Main Visual Contest Announced!

We are excited to confirm the return of the Main Visual Contest, a long-standing tradition of Tokyo and Osaka Comic Con. The winning artwork will serve as the “face” of the year’s event — featured on posters, pamphlets, websites, and more.
Launched at Tokyo Comic Con 2019 (the 4th edition), this contest is open to all, regardless of professional status, age, or nationality. The 2024 Tokyo Comic Con Grand Prize went to artist VASTAR, and the Osaka Comic Con 2025 Grand Prize was awarded to kimu. Both artists attended the event in person to meet fans, receiving high praise from attendees.
All submitted works will be displayed at the Tokyo Comic Con 2025 venue. The Grand Prize-winning artwork will be used extensively — from the official website, posters, and pamphlet covers to venue boards and Comic Con merchandise. Additionally, the winner will receive a free Artist Alley booth at the event, an area that annually hosts artists and creators from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and more.
